I am currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the College of Pharmacy, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Before joining King Saud University, I worked as a postdoctoral scholar in the School of Medicine at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, USA. Our research aims and objectives were to see the role of small G-proteins in various diseases.
My research is mainly focused on finding the molecular mechanisms involved in cancer chemoprevention and chemotherapy-induced vital organ toxicity and their prevention using natural and synthetic compounds in in vivo and in vitro models.
I have published over 100 high-impact peer-reviewed articles in international journals, contributed 10 book chapters, and edited 4 scholarly books in my field. I also serve as an associate editor for several internationally reputed journals, including Frontiers in Nutrition, Frontiers in Oncology, Frontiers in Immunology, PLOS ONE, and Springer Nature Pharmacology and Toxicology.
