Dr. Asaad is a highly qualified professional with a Ph.D. in Medical Laboratory Science specializing in Hematology from Sudan University of Science and Technology, obtained in 2015. Prior to this, they completed his MSc. Degree in Hematology and Immunohematology in 2010 and B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Science with a focus on Hematology in 2005, both from the same university.

With over 15 years of experience in university teaching, Dr. Asaad holds various certifications and licenses, including being an International Specialist in Hematology certified by The American Society for Clinical Pathology and a Licensed Clinical Laboratory Specialist by the Sudanese Medical Council. Additional licenses include a Hematology Specialist license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and a Clinical Scientist status with the Ministry of Health in the UAE.

Dr. Asaad has conducted extensive research in various areas within the field of hematology, such as clinical studies on hemostasis problems related to recurrent pregnancy loss, hypercoagulability changes in sickle cell anemia, transfusion safety improvement processes, decision analysis, complications of oxidative stress in blood cells, and stress-induced risk factors associated with the metabolic syndrome. They have also worked on projects involving the identification of hematological cells using image processing techniques.
