I earned my medical degree from University of Gezira, Sudan and then completed my residency training in Internal medicine at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar, I am certified from Arab Board of Medical Specializations in Internal Medicine and have also obtained Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP-UK ).
I pursued my passion for Haematology and completed my fellowship in Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) at National Center for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR), Qatar. For the last several yeras, I have been working as a Consultant Hematologist at NCCCR.
I have a keen interest in research and have also completed a Cancer Biology & Therapeutics Certificate Program from Harvard Medical School, USA. My research interests are Leukemia, multiple myeloma, HSCT, hemostasis and thrombosis. I have co=authored more than 50 publications.
I am also involved in training and education - as core faculty in the Haematology Fellowship Training Program at NCCCR, and as a member of Clinical Competency and Program Evaluation Committee. I am also involved in several quality projects aimed at improving patient care.
