Dr. Dina is a distinguished professional with a strong academic background and extensive experience in the field of hematopathology. She graduated from Cairo University Medical School, holding a Medical Degree in Surgery and Internal Medicine. Subsequently, she earned her master’s degree in clinical Pathology from Cairo University. In 2008, Dr. Dina achieved her doctorate degree in Hematologic and Oncologic Laboratory Medicine from the National Cancer Institute-Cairo University.
Since joining Hamad Medical Corporation in 2011, Dr. Dina has served in the capacity of a Consultant Hematopathologist in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. Her academic contributions extend to her appointment as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Pathology at Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC-Q) in 2018.
Dr. Dina was appointed as head of Point of care testing (POCT) for Hamad medical corporation during the time period Dec 2023-Dec 2025. Currently, she is the Head of special hematology section, Department of laboratory medicine and Pathology, Hamad medical corporation. Dr. Dina holds an e-diploma in Management Essentials from Harvard business school.
Dr. Dina plays a crucial role as a faculty member in Anatomic Pathology Training and Hematology Fellowship programs, both ACGMEI accredited. Her active involvement in various local and international committees and organizations, including the American Society of Hematology (ASH), European Society of Hematology (EHA), European Association for Hematopathology (EA4HP) and recently elected as member of European bone marrow working group (EBMWG), reflects her commitment to advancing the field.
Dr. Dina has several publications in the field of hematology with special interest in hematopoietic neoplasms and diagnostic platforms of lymphoid and myeloid malignancies.
