Dr. M. Shamshi Hassan is working as Associate Professor in Faculty of Science, Al-Baha University, Saudi Arabia.

He earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Chonbuk National University, South Korea in 2010. After PhD he has been awarded Postdoctoral Fellowship (PDF) by Textile and Fiber Engineering Department, CBNU, South Korea. During his PhD he was awarded an International Korean Government Scholarship.

He has been honored with numerous prestigious competitive research grants, a testament of his contributions to the scientific community. He has one Korean patent and one edited book to his credit, 13 chapters and more than 91 research articles with current h-index 33 and i10-index 62. Most of his articles have been published in journals ranked in Quartile1 and Quartile2, and his work has accumulated a total citation of 2,770 to date.

He is Editor, certified reviewer, Guest Editor and Editorial board member of various national and international journals of repute. His research interest includes synthesis of organic-inorganic composites, Quantum dots, 1D, 2D, 3D nanostructured materials/ nanofibers and their application as chemical biological/disinfectants, Nanomedicine and as supercapacitors.
