Professor Kasr El-Ainy Faculty of Medicine and Educational Hospitals , Cairo UniversityAdditional Details
Professor of Clinical and Chemical Pathology at Kasr El-Ainy Faculty of Medicine and Cairo University Teaching Hospitals, with more than 20 years of experience spanning academic medicine, medical education, scientific research, molecular diagnostics, and healthcare quality management.
My research interests focus on molecular genetics, genomic medicine, molecular diagnostics, and translational biomedical research, with a particular emphasis on translating advances in molecular biology and genomics into clinically meaningful applications. I am interested in investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying human diseases, identifying genetic and molecular biomarkers for early diagnosis and prognosis, and advancing precision medicine through innovative diagnostic approaches.
A major area of my research is the integration of molecular diagnostics, bioinformatics, and genomic data analysis to improve disease characterization, diagnostic accuracy, and evidence-based clinical decision-making. I am particularly interested in interdisciplinary research that bridges laboratory medicine, clinical practice, and emerging genomic technologies to support personalized healthcare and improved patient outcomes.
My research interests also encompass laboratory quality management, analytical performance, diagnostic standardization, and quality assurance, with a focus on implementing evidence-based practices, strengthening laboratory reliability, and ensuring the reproducibility and clinical validity of research findings. I am committed to promoting research excellence through robust study design, methodological rigor, and adherence to international quality and accreditation standards.
Furthermore, I am interested in fostering multidisciplinary and international research collaborations, developing innovative diagnostic strategies, and translating scientific discoveries into sustainable healthcare solutions. Through collaborative research, academic mentorship, and scientific dissemination, I aim to contribute to the advancement of genomic medicine, precision diagnostics, and high-quality laboratory services.
