Dr. Kanika Vats is a registered pharmacist, academic, public health researcher, and policy expert with nearly two decades of experience across academia, regulatory science, clinical practice, and health systems research.

She holds a Ph.D. in Healthcare Management, specialized in antimicrobial stewardship and resistance, and is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher advancing efforts to combat antimicrobial resistance, promote stewardship practices, and strengthen broader public health initiatives.

Dr. Vats serves as Project Head in the Directorate of Research and Innovation at TASNEEF (Emirates Classification Society), collaborating closely with local health authorities as a technical expert and leading multiple research, innovation, and quality compliance projects. She is also an Adjunct Faculty of Public Health at Abu Dhabi University.

She has previously served as Chair of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP) Committee and Co-Chair of the Pharmaceutical and Therapeutics Committee (PTC), leading stewardship audits, policy implementation, and clinician education programs. She also mentors and precepts pharmacy and biomedical engineering students, supporting the next generation of healthcare leaders.

Her work spans the development of a wide range of regulatory tools, including standards, policies, guidelines, protocols, and quality compliance methodologies across the healthcare sector. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and serves as a guest editor and reviewer for international journals.

Dr. Vats is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (UK) and the International Society for Quality in Health Care (Ireland), a full member of Sigma Xi (USA), Board Member of the IVPN Network – Clinical Research Listserv, Ambassador for the Asian Council of Science Editors, recognized as "Future Expert" at UAE Research Map, and holds a "Laureate" status for her editorial contributions.
