Wissam Ghach is holding a Ph.D. degree in chemistry from the University of Lorraine - France, and he was heading the department of Research and Innovation at the Modern University for Business and Science Lebanon. Dr. Ghach is currently an associate professor of Chemical and Biological Sciences at Department of Public Health, Canadian University Dubai, UAE. His research focuses on Sol-gel encapsulation, development of bioelectrochemical systems; prevalence of diseases (Dry Eye Disease and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) and associated risk factors (lifestyle, occupation, and indoor-environment); and chemical health and safety (disinfectants, tobacco, cosmetic, and pesticide use) in the Middle Eastern countries.
